    Abstract:

    The paper analyses the advantages and disadvantages of the existing streaming media congestion control algorithm(AIMD,TFRC).On the basis of this, it proposes an improved streaming media congestion control algorithm. This algorithm predicts the feedback information and adjusts the parameters to reduce the delay time of the initial stage. And it uses a steady growth factor to lower the process of transmission jitter, to reduce packet loss rate, and to enhance the smooth flow of the streaming media. Finally, the algorithm is verified. The simulation result shows that the improved algorithm improved in jitter delay, which makes it more suitable for streaming media transmission while maintaining the TCP-friendly features.
