Key techniques of realization of virtual experiment platform for engineering drawing were discussed thoroughly in this paper.With the integration of VRML program,database and tool software such as Java and SolidWorksetc,a virtual model lab based on network was established.It can not only meet the users'' real-time needs for models in the process of teaching,but also make students disengage from depending on their teachers.
