According to the power series and the law of superposition of the electric potential,the series solution of the electric field on the perpendicular axis of elliptic charged ring were derived. Further, the convergence of the series solution and the change of the electric field, as well as the electric potential and electric field intensity at the center of the ellipse or on the axis of the circle,were discussed.
